From Hive to Honey Jar
Time to reap the fruit of our labour with this very hands-on honey extraction workshop. A beekeeper will assist you over the course of this fun-filled hour as you uncap honeycomb cells, hand-spin honeycombs in the centrifugal extractor, and filter the raw honey before jarring and labelling it all!
Uptown Waterloo Historical Walk
Come along with us on this fun and engaging walking tour in Uptown Waterloo, as we journey through time to explore the rich history of Waterloo’s most well-known inns and hotels. Situated in the heart of Waterloo, these establishments hold a special place in the community, blending heritage with hospitality since their inception.

Learn the basic stitches of crochet and make a small project in an interactive group setting. This program will be running every other Saturday, which will give registrants plenty of time to practice stitches between lessons. For adults.

Social Walking Series
Each week we will gather at the library and set off on a walk through the McCormick neighbourhood. We will follow our outing with some light stretching and regroup at the library.

Calling all young writers! We’ll be playing games related to creative writing, learning about styles of poetry, and trying out some fun writing prompts. Light snacks will be provided.
Number Ninjas
Have fun with math through this interactive educational program. Friendly volunteer tutors will work with children to explore mathematical concepts with fun activities and challenges.
ESQ STEM Autumn Club, Ages 6 to 8
Dive into the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with the Waterloo Engineering Outreach ESQ Community Team in this 4-week hands-on program! Unleash your creativity as you explore different technology, design innovative solutions to unique problems, and make lasting connections with fellow enthusiasts of STEM!
Knitting and Crochet Club
This is a social group for people who enjoy knitting and crocheting. Participants will have an opportunity to share their projects, chat with other enthusiasts, get advice, and get inspired. Knitters and crocheters of all skill levels are welcome.
Remembrance Reflections Poppy Making Workshop
Join the City of Waterloo, Royal Canadian Legion, and the Waterloo Public Library for a learn to knit or crochet workshop. In these two-hour workshops participants will learn how to make knitted or crocheted poppies. The poppies will be added to our Remembrance Reflections Commemorative Project honouring those who served in times of war. All supplies will be provided.
