This active play program is all about mind, body, creativity, and play. Move, learn, and explore with exciting new activities each week.

Learn how to create custom made jewelry pendants using metal stamps and metal blanks. All materials and equipment will be supplied.

Learn to code, or improve your coding skills with Fiero Code during this after school program. Fiero Code allows you to work at your own level to improve your coding and software design expertise.

Join WPL and SPECTRUM for a reading circle for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and allies that takes less commitment than a book club. We'll have different readings (short stories, essays, poetry, etc) that we will read together and then discuss. No preparation needed! The readings will explore 2SLGBTQIA+ topics and/or be written by 2SLGBTQIA+ writers.

Under the direction of a Spanish teacher, practice conversational Spanish, meet other Spanish speakers and make new friends. A basic knowledge of Spanish is necessary in order to be able to participate.

Encourage a love of reading with this fun, interactive literacy program. Participants will pair up with a volunteer literacy tutor for guided reading sessions followed by language games and activities with the group.

Enjoy a unique artistic encounter with theatre and performance artists, curated specifically for toddlers and preschoolers.

Work as a team with fellow poets and AI tools to create a poem in a short period of time. Participants will then get to vote on their favourite poem.

Learn all about farms and farming through songs, games, and lots of crafts and activities.

Learn the basics of loom knitting, a fast and fun way to create beautiful knit items.

Have fun with math through this interactive educational program. Friendly volunteer tutors will work with children to explore mathematical concepts with fun activities and challenges.

Dive into the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with the Waterloo Engineering Outreach ESQ Community Team in this 4-week hands-on program! Unleash your creativity as you explore different technology, design innovative solutions to unique problems, and make lasting connections with fellow enthusiasts of STEM!

Sharpen your mind and have some laughs at the Seniors Social Hour. Enjoy a variety of card games, board games, and art. Bring a friend or meet some new ones.

Practice your conversational English and meet new people with the YMCA Immigrant Services. This program is open to all English levels.

In this talk, Dr. Barlow will discuss her work partnering with the Older Adult Centres’ Association of Ontario's (OACAO) Links2Wellbeing: Social Prescribing for Older Adults project. Social Prescribing is a holistic approach to healthcare that brings together the social and medical models of health and wellness. It provides a formal pathway for health providers to address the diverse determinants of health, using the familiar and trusted process of writing a prescription. While in it's early stages in collaboration with student researchers, the partnership aims to answer the following research questions:
