Rhyming, singing and movement are all building blocks for vocabulary and storytelling. We've got it all in this engaging programs for ones.

Let’s explore the world in this unique storytime program where we’ll “visit” a new country each week.

Decorate a pot and plant a seed to grow at home. We will have a variety of decorations and seeds available. Dress for mess! This program will be outside, weather permitting.

Build a variety of airplanes from different materials and test your designs. Use your successful designs to score points on the landing strip and see how high a score your design can get.

Encourage confidence in reading skills in a comfortable environment with certified therapy dogs from St. John Ambulance.

Join us for an inspiring evening featuring two powerful short films, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion with local leaders who have become part of our community through their unique and moving journeys.

Sensory Tummy Time is a space for babies to interact with others, deepen their understanding of the world around them, and develop fine motor & cognitive functioning skills (sight, sound, touch) all while spending beneficial time on their tummies to promote healthy development. Bringing your own blanket is encouraged.

Honey bees are famous for their sweet honey, but there are more products from the hive to discover! In this hands-on artisanal workshop, we’ll learn about and experience the wonders of beeswax with our Alvéole beekeeper.

What is a computer and what basic skills do you need to use one effectively? This four week program will answer these questions and is suitable for absolute beginners, as well as those who would like to brush up on their basic skills.

Come dressed in your pajamas for a cozy storytime with your stuffie. Enjoy songs, stories, and wiggles before saying goodnight to your stuffie for the night. Pick them up the next day and hear all about the fun they had overnight at the library!

Join the City of Waterloo, Royal Canadian Legion, and the Waterloo Public Library for a learn to knit or crochet workshop. In these two-hour workshops participants will learn how to make knitted or crocheted poppies. The poppies will be added to our Remembrance Reflections Commemorative Project honouring those who served in times of war. All supplies will be provided.

Baby Connections is a program unique to Waterloo Region that helps families develop literacy and language skills with their little ones. Participants will receive a kit of resources designed to encourage continued learning and fun at home.
